Angel Food Christmas Candy Recipe

It was my dad who motivated me to first try creating this sweets. He kept in mind it from when he was a boy. The greatest enhance was when he informed me my edition sampled even better! My spouse's a car owner with a package assistance. As you can probably think, he performs extended time around the holidays—that gives me a chance to make treats! We have a 2-year-old (he prefers to leap up on a seat and help in the kitchen) and a second kid due in April.


    1 cup sugar
    1 cup dark maize syrup
    1 tbsp white vinegar
    1 tbsp cooking soda
    1 lb dairy products candy sweets covering, melted


    In a heavy pot, merge the glucose, maize syrup and white vinegar. Prepare over method warm, mixing regularly, until glucose melts. Prepare without mixing until the temperature gets to 300° (hard-crack stage) on a sweets temparature gauge. Do not overcook.
    Eliminate from the warm and quickly mix in everyday. Add into a buttered 13-in. x 9-in. pan. Do not propagate candy; combination will not complete pan.
    When cool, break into bite-size items. Dip into dissolved chocolate; place on wax paper until the candy is firm. Store sweets firmly protected. Yield: 1-1/2 pounds.
