1 cup sugar
1 cup dark maize syrup
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp cooking soda
1 lb dairy products candy sweets covering, melted
In a heavy pot, merge the glucose, maize syrup and white vinegar. Prepare over method warm, mixing regularly, until glucose melts. Prepare without mixing until the temperature gets to 300° (hard-crack stage) on a sweets temparature gauge. Do not overcook.
Eliminate from the warm and quickly mix in everyday. Add into a buttered 13-in. x 9-in. pan. Do not propagate candy; combination will not complete pan.
When cool, break into bite-size items. Dip into dissolved chocolate; place on wax paper until the candy is firm. Store sweets firmly protected. Yield: 1-1/2 pounds.
