1 cup light maize syrup
1 to 1-1/2 tsp pepper mint extract
1 tsp. vanilla flavor extract
6 to 8 falls green foods shading, optional
Line a 13-in. x 9-in. pan with metal aluminum foil. Oil the metal aluminum foil with 1 tbsp set aside. In a large heavy pot, merge glucose and maize syrup. Bring to a steam over method warm, mixing sometimes. Cover and prepare for 3 minutes to melt glucose gems. Uncover; prepare over medium-high warm, without mixing, until a sweets heat range gauge flows 300° (hard-crack stage).
Eliminate from the heat; mix in substances and meals shading. Add into prepared pan. Cool; break into pieces. Store in air-tight bins. Yield: about 1-1/4 pounds.
