    4 tbsps butter, divided
    2-1/2 glasses small jam beans
    3 glasses sugar
    1 cup light maize syrup
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp cooking soda


    In a microwave-safe dish, liquefy 1 tbsp butter. Dice staying butter and set aside. Line two 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. dishes with foil; sweep with dissolved butter. Organize jam legumes equally in dishes.
    In a large pot, merge the glucose, maize syrup and the watter. Bring to a steam over method heat, mixing regularly, until a sweets heat range gauge flows 240° (soft-ball stage). Mix in sliced butter and sodium. Prepare and stir until combination gets to 300° (hard-crack stage). Mix in everyday (mixture will foam). Quickly add over jam legumes. Propagate with a buttered steel spatula. Cool; break into pieces. Yield: 2-1/2 pounds.
