Holly Butter Mints Recipe
A better melt-in-your-mouth lovely than this butter-mint mom would be difficult to find! It's affordable to create, looks so charming on a sweets plate and doesn't need refrigeration


    1/4 cup butter, softenes
    1/4 cup water
    1 tsp. pepper mint extract
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    Dash salt
    5-1/2 to 6 cups confctioners' sugar
    2 to 4 falls natural insert meals coloring
    3 to 5 falls red insert meals coloring
    White sugar


    In a large bowl, cream butter. Gradually add the the water, draw out, butter flavor and salt; beat in enough confectioners' glucose on medium speed until money achieves a stiff putty reliability, about 3 minutes.
    Split money into three sections. Massage natural meals shading into two sections. Massage red meals shading into remaining portion. For mom results in, form teaspoonfuls of money into balls; move in brown glucose. Flatten to 1/8-in. thickness; cut with a mom leaf standard. For mom fruits, form 1/4 teaspoonfuls of money into balls; move in brown glucose. Arrange results in and fruits on serving plate. Store at 70 degrees. Yield: about 12 dozen (1-3/4 pounds)
