Classic Red Velvet Cake Recipe
This ruby-red sweet with it's charming lotion dairy products icing has become my "signature sweet." I can't go to any family members operate without it. The sweet is very wet with a buttery candy flavor. —Katie Sloan, Currently, Northern Carolina



Ingredients

    1/2 cup shortening
    1-1/2 glasses sugar
    2 eggs
    1 container (1 ounce) red meals coloring
    3 tsp white vinegar
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor extract
    2-1/2 glasses dessert flour
    1/4 cup cooking cocoa
    1 tsp. cooking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 cup buttermilk
    FROSTING:
    1 package (8 ounces) Philadelphia® Lotion Milk products, softenes
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    3-3/4 glasses confectioners' sugar
    3 tsp vanilla flavor extract

Directions

    In a huge dish, cream reducing and glucose until light comfortable. Add egg, one at a time, defeating well after each inclusion.
