Cinnamon Almond Brittle Recipe
It basically wouldn't be Xmas at our home without this old-time preferred perspective on peanut weak. No one considers how simple it is to create...and doesn't adhere to your teeth!


    2 glasses sugar
    3/4 cup light maize syrup
    1/4 cup water
    3 tbsps butter, cubed
    2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 glasses slivered nuts, toasted
    1-1/2 tsp cooking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor extract


    Butter two cooking linens and keep warm in a 200° range. In a large pot, merge the glucose, maize syrup and the water. Prepare and mix over method warm until a sweets temperature gauge flows 240° (soft-ball stage). Stir in the butter, nutmeg, salt and almonds; cook and mix until combination gets to 300°(hard-crack stage), cleaning down factors of pan with the water as needed.
    Eliminate from the heat; mix in everyday and vanilla flavor. Quickly add onto prepared cooking linens. Propagate with a buttered steel spatula to 1/4-in. width. Cool; break into pieces. Store in an air-tight package. Yield: about 2 pounds.

Editor's Note: We suggest that you analyze your sweets temperature gauge before each use by providing the water to a boil; the temperature gauge should read 212°. Modify your formula temperature up or down based on your analyze.
