Cashew Brittle Recipe
I began making weak in the mid Nineteen seventies and have been using this formula for about 25 years. During the winter season season of 2005, I made over 170 weight of this weak to provide to my cliants." Jim Vendor, Vinton, Iowa

Ingredients

    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup mild maize syrup
    1 to 1-1/2 glasses salted cashew halves
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. cooking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor extract

Directions

    In a microwave-safe dish, merge the glucose and maize syrup. Microwave, discovered, on great for 3 minutes; mix. Heat 2 moments longer. Stir in cashews and butter. Microwave on great for 20-50 seconds or until combination changes a mild ruby (mixture will be very hot).
    Quickly mix in everyday and vanilla flavor until mild and foamy. Instantly add onto a oiled cooking piece and propagate with a steel spatula. Cool for 20 moments or until set; break into small pieces. Store in an air-tight package. Yield: 3/4 lb.
