Caramel-Nut Candy Bars Recipe
As a active mom of six, I welcome any Xmas formula that's fast, easy and members of the family attractive. These Snickers-like cafes fit that information perfectly


    1-1/2 tsp plus 1/4 cup buter, melted, split
    2 offers (11-1/2 oz. each) dairy product sweet chips
    1/4 cup shortening
    1 package (14 ounces) caramels
    5 tsp water
    1 cup sliced pecans


    Line a 13-in. x 9-in. pan with alumiinum foil and oil the aluminum foil with 1-1/2 tsp butter; set aside. In a microwave, liquefy dairy products choc snacks and reducing at 70% power for 1 minute; mix. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second durations, mixing until sleek.
    Propagate half of the combination into prepared pan. Chill for 15 minutes or until company. Set staying sweets combination aside.
    In a large microwave-safe dish, liquefy the caramels, the water and staying butter; mix until sleek. Stir in pecans. Propagate over sweets part.
    Heat arranged sweets combination if necessary to achieve growing consistency; spread over caramel part. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until company.
    Using aluminum foil, raise sweets out of pan. Carefully remove off foil; cut sweets into 1-1/2-in. x 1-in. cafes. Store in the fridge. Yield: 2-1/4 pounds.
